An entrepreneur and an artist
Born in Miami, to Cuban parents Julio has a true zeal for life and believes in making the most of every opportunity he is given.
Throughout his high school and college years he was involved in acting, modeling and performing arts working on several theater, film and tv projects. In 2021 he attained his BS in Communications from FIU and spent the next 20 years in c-level management. In 2012, he founded Abacus Worldwide, a leading membership association of independent accounting and law firms with current membership spanning 200 offices in 50 countries. Julio is also a licensed Real Estate professional personally investing in Real Estate with his architect wife.
After a hiatus from acting, Julio reignited his passion for performing arts in 2013 and has since worked on some major feature films, national commercials and screenwriting projects.
Julio made his feature debut alongside some of today’s most prominent LatinX talents, namely Ana de Armas, Wagner Moura and Edgar Ramirez, playing a supporting role in the Netflix top 10 film, Wasp Network (2019) directed by acclaimed director Olivier Assayas (Personal Shopper/Irma Vep). Following that success, Julio was cast as El Saguaro (supporting) for Brad Pitt’s action-thriller, Bullet Train (2022), directed by David Leitch (John Wick/Deadpool 2). In 2022 he also played Chef Jeremey Sheridan in Season 1 - Episode 17 of the hit CBS/Paramount+ series, FBI International.
Julio has also penned a series pilot screenplay, 'Miami Famous', a feature length screenplay, 'The Two', and a short film screenplay, 'Wake", each in development.
He is repped by Natasha Matallana at Take3 Talent in NYC.
Julio married the love of his life in 2007, and in 2010 they welcomed their first son followed by their second son three years later. He loves spending time with his wife Barbra and his two boys, Gabriel and Caleb.
